Content Management Systems Case Study: Chem-Dry.com
Project
Big project. Chem-Dry, a division of The Home Depot, with corporate headquarters in Logan, Utah, is a carpet cleaning business with 2.600 franchises around the world. Mr Ed Quinlan, Marketing Director of Chem-Dry wanted a complete redesign of the corporate site and for us to design and build separate sites for all 2.600 franchises. Mr Quinlan wanted a CMS which was easy to use and which all their franchises could access to easily update their sites.
Solution
Step 1: Redesign of the corporate site
Since the Chem-Dry brand celebrates it's 30 year anniversary 2007 it has a long history and the brand is very well defined. Mr Quinlan wanted a clean professional looking site.

Step 2: Creating 2.600 franchise sites
Building 2.600 franchises can be a daunting task, especially when there is a lot of custom programming involved. Iwo Creative's programmers took on the challenge and delivered. The Content Management System was tweaked to do precisely what Mr Quinlan wanted. A detailed help section was built to help the franchises get started with their sites and enable them to make their site look and do what they wanted.
The Chem-Dry Project started in November 2006. After 6 months of work, April 19th 2007, the corporate site was launched. One month later the 2.600 franchises were launched. Thank you Chem-Dry for giving Iwo Creative this challenge.
